Holy Guacamole

From Peter:
I couldn't pass that up as a title.  Today Karin made fresh guacamole from avocados the size of Carter's head.  It was delicious.  There's a story behind how we came to posses the avocados...Arturo, our neighbor and the man who owns our house, showed up with a bag of avocados in the middle of last week and as he presented them to us he said, "These come with a cost."  We assumed we had done something wrong at the house and we were about to be scolded but it turns out his son had a math test the next day and had a question about his review sheet.  I hope I haven't violated the rules of my sabbatical - I bartered 10 minutes of math help for a bag of freshly picked avocados!  I think I could make a good life here...

We welcomed Grandma and Grandpop to Maui today.  They have been on Kaua'i for the past 6 days and have made the hop here to visit us.  Davis was thrilled to show them around and tell them the highlights - we have lizards, we saw whales, I can play hockey in the loft, 'scuse me I tooted - these seem to be the important things.
